Čaro Amplifiers

Objective: New product concept and brand

Result: Manufacturing Chassis with pre-orders in the pipeline

Background
Canor is a high-end amplifier, CD player and phono pre-amplifier manufacturer and they have been developing and manufacturing high-end audio products for almost 25 years. Canor is a tube specialist, the prototype TP101 integrated tube amplifier was presented at the exhibition in Brno (Czech Republic) in April 1995. IsoTek, had just bought the rights to sell Canor products, under a new name and brand, but didn’t have a concept to go to market with.

Brief
Create a concept, name and brand model, for product design and development.

Solutions
The name čaro was created from the Slovakian word meaning – charm, magic and glamour – a fitting name for a high- end system using analogue valve and digital technologies to create warm and ‘pure black’ outputs in a revamped Slovakian high-end Hi-Fi system. The actual performance of the system always brought a smile to the face of everyone that listened to vinyl or CD through their valve technology, and so the brand promise of ‘ čaro – we all deserve to smile’ was initiated as the gold standard of high-end audio.

Outcomes
Two years on and during a pandemic, production has finally started again, with the design of the case finalised and nearly ready for assembly and distribution across the European market.

Summary
All pre-launch research is indicating a positive reception with the majority of distributors with pre-orders.
